Major disruption was caused on the A39 earlier today (May 3) after a lorry's load slipped while travelling through Ashcott.
The main route between Bridgwater and Street was shut by the police for several hours while officers dealt with the incident.
Travel Somerset had tweeted that the lorry overturned but the police later advised this was not the case and its load had just slipped.
