A major Taunton road has reopened ahead of schedule following extensive roadworks.Work began at the junction where East Street and East Reach meets Hurdle Way on Monday, June 6 and was expected to last for around eight weeks. However, work has been completed ahead of time and has reopened to traffic this morning (Wednesday, July 27).The junction needed to be fully replaced as the traffic lights were so old that any major fault could have made them irreparable and lead to major disruption.READ:...
